Anthony Ragusa, MD

Our founding physician

Dr. Ragusa founded Greater Rochester Internal Medicine in 1996 and proudly served his patients there for over 20 years. After much consideration, Dr. Ragusa chose to shift the path of his practice and accepted the honor of being selected as an MDVIP physician. The MDVIP model of medical practice allows him to continue caring for patients that desire a deeper level of personal care, and is conveniently located across the hall from the GR Internal Medicine offices. Mark Sarnov, MD

Dr. Sarnov has been practicing medicine in the Rochester region since 1997. During the first twenty years in clinical medicine, he held positions such as Family Practice Chair as well as Medical Staff President at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. He also guided the introduction of an electronic medical record in 2003 and championed the development of a Patient Centered Medical Home in the private practice where he saw patients until 2018.  

In 2018, Dr. Sarnov started a medical consulting firm that assists medical practices to become more efficient and solvent, however, Dr. Sarnov believes his knowledge and experience should be utilized for patients and resumed clinical practice. Joining Greater Rochester Internal Medicine in May 2019, he provides individualized quality medical care in the Family Practice model that emphasizes evidence based medicine, while being aware of the psychological impact chronic illness has on his patients.
